Q: Describe your typical day.
A: Things haven't changed. I'm waking up, going to physical therapy, following a diet and resting.
Q: What kind of exercise or activity do you engage in to work toward your goals?
A: I do exercises on my own. I'm working on standing, stepping, getting in my wheelchair, stretching and moving. I also use hand weights and bands.
Q: Who or what is your motivation for keeping the course of your weight-loss journey?
A: Everybody. It's every single one of us. It's about continuing my life. My son is a driving force. I want to there for him and live longer.
Q: What is your biggest obstacle in staying on track with weight loss?
A: I haven't hit many roadblocks, but it is hard to stay with the program and follow through.
Q: How have friends and family reacted to your post-op lifestyle?
A: I'm hundreds of miles away from my friends and family right now. My husband and son are the only ones here, and they are so proud of me. They see how hard I'm working.
Q: In five years from now, how do you envision your life -- and your body?
A: I don't set goals, but I do want to have skin surgery removal and to lose more weight. I'm happy.
